About Us

Welcome to The Book Of Stories — a digital home for India’s most beautiful stories, told in Hindi, written from the heart.

I’m Rajhussain Kanani, the writer, editor, and founder of this blog. I live in Hyderabad, India, and I started this site with a single belief: the stories our grandparents told us at bedtime deserve to live on the internet too — with the same warmth, the same truth, the same magic.

That’s how thebookofstories.in was born.

What This Blog Is

The Book Of Stories is a curated collection of original Hindi stories across several categories:

  • Mythology (पौराणिक कथाएँ) — Stories from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas, and the lives of Hindu deities
  • Biography (जीवनी) — Real stories of Indians who shaped the country, from business leaders to freedom fighters
  • History (इतिहास) — Tales of historical figures, dynasties, and pivotal moments in Indian history
  • Inspirational & Moral (प्रेरणादायक/नैतिक) — Stories of resilience, courage, and life lessons
  • Children’s Stories (बाल कहानियाँ) — Simple, value-rich stories for young readers
  • Fictional & Lifestyle — Original creative narratives rooted in everyday Indian life

Every story is written in Hindi — but in a Hindi that feels alive, not formal. A Hindi where English words drop in naturally, the way modern Indian readers actually speak and think.

Our Mission

I genuinely believe that stories are not just entertainment. Stories build people.

When a child hears the story of Hanuman, they learn what courage means. When a young entrepreneur reads about Narayana Murthy starting Infosys with ₹10,000 borrowed from his wife, they start believing their own dreams are possible. When a mother tells her daughter the story of Sita, a quiet thread strengthens between them.

The mission of this blog is simple:

“To tell every story in a way that it isn’t just read — it’s felt.”

Our Editorial Process

I want to be transparent about how stories on this site are made — because in 2026, reader trust is the most valuable thing a publisher has.

  1. Research: Every story is built on multiple sources — original mythological texts (Valmiki Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas), reputable biographies, historical records, and articles from established publications.
  2. Writing: I create the outline for every story myself. I then use AI tools (such as Claude) to assist with the first draft — and I personally edit every single sentence afterward. The voice, emotion, and depth of every published story are mine.
  3. Fact-Checking: Every historical date, name, place, and event is cross-verified against at least two independent sources. For mythological stories where multiple versions exist, I choose the most widely accepted and respected version.
  4. Illustrations: The images accompanying our stories are AI-generated artworks — because authentic photographs of mythological and ancient historical figures don’t exist. I disclose this openly.
  5. Publishing: Every story is read once more before it’s published — because a single wrong word can break a reader’s trust.

About the Author

I’m Rajhussain Kanani, based in Hyderabad, India.

In my professional life, I’m a full-stack developer and founder. My company, Hykvra Studio (hykvra.com), builds SaaS and AI products for clients in India and internationally. I work with technology every single day.

But my heart has always been in stories.

The mythological tales my grandmother told me as a child, the inspirational biographies in my school Hindi textbooks, the folk songs sung in narrow lanes — they all live somewhere inside me. The Book Of Stories is the voice of that part of me.

I’m a person of technology, but I believe the most beautiful use of technology is this — to carry our old stories to a new generation, in a form they’ll actually read.
